My name is Amanda. Having spent my early childhood in Malaysia, then going on to live in the UK, Bahrain and now Cyprus, and with family based in Austria and Israel, from a young age I was exposed to and influenced by cuisines from around the world.

 

I have had a passion for food from my teens when I had my first jobs in pubs and restaurants, and naturally progressed to studying Hotel &Catering management at University. After graduating, I worked for a big outdoor and contract catering company at events such as Wimbledon, Twickenham and Ascot.

After travelling the globe working for an airline, I settled in Cyprus with my Cypriot husband and started a family. I have always been passionate about cooking for friends and family and hosting parties, and they suggested that I start catering on a professional level which led to me setting up Gourmet on the Go Catering & Planning in 2010.

We offer a range of catering services for all types of events, from family get togethers, private dining, corporate events, shop openings, large parties, celebrations, and weddings.  We tailor our food and services for intimate or large scale formal dining, relaxed family-style meals, large buffets and canape-only events.  We work in-house at private properties or rental villas, and can cater for corporate events or shop openings,for all sizes of groups between 6 to 60 people. 

 

We prepare high quality delicious food, using locally sourced products, offering a range of different authentic cuisines from traditional Cypriot cuisine, English roasts, Thai, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, or BBQ, and have expertise in vegan and healthy options.

 

We can provide you with more than just great food, we can plan and organise your event; including decor, waiting staff and more.
